Hellllloooo people, how art thou??
It’s been incredibly exciting weeks for me teaching all my students/clients and working together, and as always I’m really glad to see them making significant changes and starting to unleash their true potentials.
In the past week alone I had THREE new prospective students coming in and wanting to learn from me, so things are getting even more exciting 🙂
Why do I spend so much time and energy on coaching them?
What makes me so enthusiastic about it?
There are 3 things that come to mind:
- Because I care about them and have genuine concerns for them.
I most sincerely do. Do you know what the most common problem I hear every time a new prospect come to me? The lack of help. There aren’t teachers who’re able to spare a decent amount of time for their students. There aren’t coaches who can provide solutions to their students’ problems. There aren’t mentors who’re able to guide them to paths they see more possibilities for their future. And they’re frustrated. I know what it feels like. You see, there are a lot of teachers out there who’ll give you fluffs and try to get away with band-aid treatments either because they’re lazy or because they just don’t have what it takes.
I don’t deal with nonsense. I cut right into the nitty-gritty of the matter. I give students/clients at least the double the time other coaches give them, and the coaching I offer is crafted out of 10+ years of my unique experiences around the Western continent as well as the most specific techniques and inputs attributed to some of the most successful and legendary masters of the world. And I can pin-point the problem in the first five minutes of the coaching and prescribe the right dose for the student. If a coach or a mentor can’t help students and get them the results, he’s done.
2. To grow and achieve something great, we’ll need motivation.
Life is not about recycles. It’s not about doing exactly the same thing over and over again. Of course “consistency” matters to some extent, but it’s impossible to evlove and succeed without changing anything. When I’m coaching someone, I sometimes provide completely new ideas or deep philosophical questions instead of just telling them what to practice. They need to take the time to pause, reflect and change the perspective to see things in a different frame. Other times a little electric shock to stay in their mind for a longer period will do the trick. Even when we keep doing something right, we often find ourselves falling short. This is why I still have mentors of my own to this day and will forever (as long as they’re alive). In order for students to reach the next level, it’s crucial that they absorb external inspirations that stimulate them and channel that energy to optimizing the productivity and turbo-charging the momentum so they can get the desired outcome.
3. Coaching students/clients actually serves as a great source of my energy.
Most teachers and coaches get exhausted after working with their students. Both mentally and physcially.
Me? I get even more energized and motivated than before coaching them. Whenever I talk about or play music, I have a laser-like focus and full immersion. I’m giving myself energy by moving my body, using up my voice and brain cells, and feel the strong rush of adrenaline which puts me on an unstoppable momentum.
Not only can I learn something new or different from the interactions with the students while coaching them, but also the sheer amount of self-enlightenment and vigor I grant myself has a HUGE impact on my subconscious to determine how productive I’ll make my activities later on.
It goes without saying, but growth and accomplishment don’t happen in a matter of days. Especially when one’s seeking to operate at a high standard. And at certain stages, one may find the process enormously vexing and banal. It’s most definitely NOT for everyone. Only those with invincible tenacity to commit to it will hit it all the way home. But we both know how high my standard is for my students and myself, and know that it’s in our control to get there so long as we believe in our abilities to climb up to the end of the ladder.
The best part? When the students succeed, I succeed. And we’ll do this thing together to make it happen.
